Mobility Training

Give your body the audacity
to do anything.
It all comes down to this:
None of us were given a manual on how to use and operate our soul’s suit of a body. Movement is life and it’s just as complicated, but I will teach you a system that will simplify it to make you self sufficient in assessing, preserving, and bullet proofing your joints. It really just comes down to how well your tissue’s absorb, distribute, and generate force and how many options your joints have to complete the task.
Load >>> tissue capacity = injury
Load < (or equal to) tissue capacity = rehab
Load > (or equal to) tissue capacity = maintenance
Tissue Capacity > Load = Prevention
Stop blaming age and genetics and stop relying on passive treatments to make your stuff work better!
"When you take care of your body,
you are also taking care of your mind.
Your attitude changes, your mood lifts."
Movement problems require movement solutions:
Step 1: Functional Joint Assessment
For your first appointment we will go over goals, limitations, history, and I will assess each joint through movement as I teach you about your body and where it’s currently at. Assessment is crucial for getting a baseline and measuring progress. No more random or generalized protocols for your problem, your assessment will be the blueprint for your individualized mobility program.
Step 2: Building Awareness through CARS
None of us were given the manual on how to operate our meatsuit….until now.
Most of us, if not all of us, have lost the ability to communicate properly with each piece of our body. In fact we are really good at compensating to complete tasks, but we don’t address these compensations until there is pain. The truth is, there was a problem way before you started to get pain. Why wait til your stuff breaks down to address it? Starting a consistent CARS routine not only gives you a daily self assessment of your joint health, you’ll be preserving them and increasing your body awareness. Many of my clients notice their pain decrease or go away after just 1-2 weeks of daily CARS. These are the low hanging fruit to better movement quality and joint health.
Step 3: Build Capacity
Based on your assessment, we will come up with a mobility program. This is not your typical PT or corrective exercise where you will be told to fit into the shapes of a “squat” or a “row”. Each position is designed to work around YOUR body. You will learn how to differentiate between normal and abnormal sensations, how to scan your tissues for different lines of tension, and how to use your own internal force to create strength in your end ranges. While every program and person is different, most plans are only 20 minutes a day of training at home with usually a few shorter weekly visits with me for coaching.
This system is for those who want to have a better understanding of how their body works and how they can be more active in taking care of it. Once you get the hang of the concepts, you’ll know more about your body than an MRI can tell you and you will find that you won’t have to rely on the healthcare system as much for pain and injury. In fact, this is the ultimate system for injury and arthritis prevention. You’ll also notice your quality of life improve since you can trust your body to handle whatever life throws at it.
